Rail Weld Test Jig (new improved model)
RWTJ-1 - For the inspection of weld joints in track sections.
The jig is held onto the track by strong magnets to the rail top and side. The new jig can accommodate two versions of probe – the standard "LSST" range or the Network Rail approved "LSSTNR" range. Various angles are available for both. 2 probes are required, which can be purchased separately to give the ability for a complete scan of the weld area to detect the lack of fusion in alumina-thermic weld joints – this test relates to the Network Rail test procedure U6.
